Acharya Sanjay Chakravarty is a sound designer, classical singer, a sitar maestro, a harmonium accompanist, an established music composer, a music therapist and a poet based at Kolkata , India. He is a musician incarnate.
Driven out of home land during the partition, his parents fought an uneven battle to raise his family in India. It was their versatile genius that made them survive such an up hill battle. Acharya Sanjay Chakravarty has inherited their spirit in essence.

Acharya Sanjay Chakravarty at fourteen being known as tabla-player in his home town, Shyamnagar, achieved two national scholarships, one for his proficiency in Science & Mathematics and the other for his exceptional performance in Thumri.
A gifted vocalist (groomed by his parents & elder brother Pdt. Ajoy Chakrabarty at his younger days) and an accomplished instrumentalist, Acharya Sanjay Chakravarty deserted the lead place of an accompanist in Harmonium with maestros like Bharat Ratna Bhimsen Joshi, Bidushi Kishori Amonkar, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Pandit Mallikarjun Mansoor or Pandit Ajoy Chakrabarty to name a few for performance in various classical conferences all over the world.
Acharya Sanjay Chakravarty’s uniqueness is that he can never be kept confined within the limits of any single faculty. His poetic excellence brings fourth in the in born composer in him and within a span of a decade he has more than thousand lyrics to his credit. He stands out as a composer once again with his individuality ranging from Dhrupad to Modern numbers, Khayal to Fusion Music following the heritage and culture he delivers in.
An earnest disciple of Sitar maestro Nikhil Banerjee and Ajay Sinha Ray he has rendered his strokes of Sitar through his own compositions in many music albums that have released from reputed recording companies.
